What is behind?

“Mom, I can hardly tolerate Olimpia! She’s just terrible. She interrupts everyone, jumps into conversations without being invited, creates too much noise, touches or takes things that don’t belong to her, and speaks so loudly you’d think she knows everything. I just can’t stand sitting next to her!” (My 12-year-old son)
“I try to avoid speaking with our Sales Director… Why? Because there’s no real conversation with him. He just pushes his own ideas without trying to listen to anyone else. He insists on his point of view until it’s accepted. I simply can’t stand him…” (Director of Commerce, my current client)
The “dramas” of my almost-12-year-old son inspired my husband and me to create a game called “Discover what’s behind?”. The rules are simple: we ask him to describe his classmates’ behaviors without judging them, and then guess what they might be seeking for…. Amazingly, it works really well! For example, with Olimpia, my son concluded that she’s just looking for attention from the others. By giving her some positive attention beforehand, she might become more cooperative.
It’s a bit trickier with my client’s situation because, as adults, we often fall into the trap of quick judgments, and we’re too easily drawn into the fast-paced, “TikTok” mindset.

A Human Logic approach, though, isn’t about quick judgments or fast solutions. It’s something deeper. It’s like developing an artistic approach to understand and tune into people, rather than confronting them. It helps create long-term value, contributes to a better quality of life, and ultimately drives business results.
It’s definitely not as easy as TikTok—but it’s worth trying.
P.S. My 12-year-old is still struggling with Olimpia, but we’re enjoying discussions about the hidden meanings behind behavior. It’s helping him understand himself better.
P.S. 2 The Commercial Director of my current client is still having trouble finding common ground with the Sales Director, but we’re working hard to dive deeper into the dynamics of the management team. We’re making progress and getting closer to understanding how to move forward.
It takes time… it’s not TikTok, but it’s definitely worth the effort.
